Welcome to Finn-Sino Association!

Bridge is the tie of exchange. We are committed to be the messenger of culture dissemination as well as the media of joint-education. We are from different professions and academic fields, but we have the same aim to endeavour ourselves to fulfil our mission. Individual ability is limited, but team dynamism is immense. Only through the participation and contribution to the team undertaking, can individual development and progress be fully achieved.

Finn-Sino is a Tampere based non-political and non-profit official association. The objective is to enhance the cultural, educational and technological exchange between Finland and China. The association arranges for example tea and qigong seminars and the yearly Chinese movie weeks as well as maintains a DVD collection of Chinese movies, TV programs and documents that can be borrowed for personal use.

Chinese New Year Event 3.2.2011


Finn-Sino Ry, in co-operation with Radio86.com and Futuvision Group, is organising a Chinese New Years event on 3 Feb at 16.30 in Ideapark, Lempäälä. Some of the Beijing's top artists will be performing at this event.

Chinese New Year is one of the biggest events in China and East-Asia. Traditionally Chinese New Year is celebrated by family dinner and fireworks. Gifts are shared and resolutions about the coming year are made. This event can be compared to how we celebrate Christmas and New Year in Finland. Chinese New Year 2011 marks the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit.

In Lempäälä's Ideapark the event starts at 16.30 with tea tasting, lottery and a Chinatown market. In the Chinatown market, there are China-related books, tea and other products for sale.

The main event begins at 17.15. The audience will be treated to spectacular performances, such as dance, singing, magic show and face-changing acts (Beijing Opera make-up techniques) by Beijing artists. One of the group members, Yin Shuo, performed in Beijing Olympics opening ceremony in 2008 and the face-change artist is a member of the Beijing Opera Theatre. Ideapark is in for some high quality, colourful and razzmatazz acts all the way till 19.15, when the event ends. Free entrance!

Chinese Language Market
Chinese Language MarketFinn-Sino Association, Finland-China Society´s Tampere section and Greatwall association are organizing "Chinese Language Market" event, where all enthusiasts can get familiar with learning Chinese language. The event takes place on Saturday, September 18th at 12.00-16.00. in the Old Library House (address: Keskustori 4) in Tampere.

Chinese New Year Celebration in Tampere on February 11th
According to the Chinese lunar calendar, on February 14th, the year of the ox turns into the tiger's year. Finn-Sino association organized a Chinese New Year celebration in Tampere on Thursday, February 11th at 16-18. The event was held at the University of Tampere, Pinni building B lobby (address Kanslerinrinne 1).
