Chinese sharpshooter Wang Yifu has won a second gold medal for China in the 2004 Athens Olympics.

The veteran marksman scored 690 points to take the title in men's 10m air pistol.

He also broke the Olympic record.

Mikhail Nestruev of Russia won silver while Vladimir Iskov of Russia took bronze.

Wang Yifu, who is 44 this December, is the only Chinese athlete who has taken part in the Olympic Games six consecutive times, from 1984 to 2004.

Earlier, Chinese sharpshooter Du Li won the first gold for China in women's 10m air rifle.
