Triple world champion Luo Xuejuan led the field to have won in the women's 100m breaststroke title at the Athens Olympic Games.
The 20-year-old Chinese rushed to win in an Olympic record of 1:06.64, missing the world record by 0.07.
After taking the first swimming gold for China at the Athens Olympics, a tearful Luo Xuejuan said this was the most unforgettable moment in her life, and she wanted to thank the people who always support her.
Barcelona world silver medalist Brooke Hanson of Australia finished second in 1:07.15 while world record holder Leisel Jones of Australia took bronze in 1:07.16.
